I recently visited San Diego for an amazing conference geared towards Event professionals. It is the cream of the crop for trend design, inspiration and most importantly networking. There were over 6000 people in attendance, most being successful wedding planners! I was able to see Steve Kimble, Lynyette Richardson Hall ( whose wedding is it anyway ) and the founder of the Knot, Kylie Rooney. There were professionals from all across the country who I was able to exchange business cards with and discuss trends in the wedding planning world. This is a huge benefit for me because I have a network of people I can call or email anytime I have a question about something or need inspiration from larger markets, think Vegas, New York, LA. Those of you who know me know I live and breathe weddings. Not only do I enjoy planning weddings full time, I also watch wedding shows, read wedding magazines and books, am a member of a Wedding Organization, office with other Wedding Professionals and dream up designs in my sleep! Yes, nauratic but I love what I do. I love the opportunity to bring fresh ideas to San Antonio and give my modern brides exactly what they want, even if they don’t know it yet.
For my current brides, this trip will bring them inspirational ideas that no one in San Antonio has. For my future brides, the educational seminars I attended, 12 hours a day J, will bring them new insights on how to plan a wedding while still living your amazing, abundant life. For my future grooms, guess what? There were things I learned that will save you lots of money and ensure your fiancée feels less stressed and more in control of your future, who wouldn’t want that?
Thanks to all the amazing nationwide vendors I met and Meghann Dibrell at Simply Chic Weddings for finding this great conference and for her family’s San Diego hospitality.
Here's a lovely view from one of our Educational Sessions, The Master's Brunch at the famed Ivy Hotel. (FYI- San Diego weather was 82, amazing)
